Grass Roots
Soap + Shampoo bar! Great for traveling
The early settlers of Saum, MN came with different backgrounds but a common purpose - to start a new life for their families. They built their business and barns from the ground up and their basements from the ground down. The land rewarded their gumption by providing a scent as enchanting as sweet grass and natural vanilla. And for those few minutes being GRASS ROOTS felt calm and peaceful. Then it was back to the backbreaking work.
Bare With Me
Soap + Shampoo bar! Great for traveling
(note: one named Grin and Bare It!)
Story behind the picture: When your closest neighbor is over a mile away you can feel free to simply GRIN AND BARE IT. By the tree, on the swing, in the river. And when summer finally showed itself, the settlers of Northern Minnesota enjoyed it in buck naked fashion. Too bad they didn't have HeimMade around to alleviate their chapped hides and pale skin, which would inevitably get burned on the first hot day.
Moss Confusion
Soap + Shampoo bar! Great for traveling
Story behind the picture: In the midst of getting lost in the forest, the lumberjacks discovered a wonderful combination of moss and cedarwood that makes up the essence of MOSS CONFUSION. Had they not believed the old wives tale about moss growing on the north side of trees, they may never have found such a unique bouquet. Nor would they have gone on to invent the compass.
Rest Ashore
Soap + Shampoo bar! Great for traveling
Story behind the picture:The Mudhen was an 80-feet long steamboat and had a double deck, making her popular for dances and parties until 1915 when the government caught wind of the liquor on board and made her REST ASHORE. Cleansed by the scent of fresh lake air and wildflowers, it was the Mudhen’s turn to unwind. We recommend that you don’t operate any heavy machinery or steamboats after using this mellow mixture.

Macadamia Nut Oil: This oil comes from the pressed nuts of the Macadamia tree. It's proven itself to be one of the best regenerative oils available. It resembles sebum (the oil naturally produced by ones skin to help protect it) and has been successfully used as a healing oil for scars, sunburns, minor wounds and other irritations.
Sunflower Oil: An oil wealthy in vitamins A, D, and E--recommended highly for dry, aged and damaged skin.
Apricot Kernel Oil: Suitable for sensitive and prematurely aged skin--high in Vitamin A and minerals. Good for all skins, especially pre-maturely aged, sensitive, inflamed, and dry.
Sweet Almond Oil: This is oil loaded with vitamins A, B1, B2, and B6. It is reported to be soothing, healing, softening, revitalizing and nourishing--helps relieve itching, soreness and dryness of sensitive or irritated skin. The excellent penetrating properties help to repair and rejuvenate skin.
Shea Butter: Obtained from the nut of the Shea Tree which grows in Africa. It was used by African healers over thousands of years ago as an exotic luxury emollient--reported to benefit dry, damaged and maturing skin.
Note: We use a minimal amount of cosmetic preservative in our lotion to keep it as natural as possible, yet safe from bacteria. We recently changed the preservative currently listed on the labels to polyaminopropl biguanide, which is a gentle, effect preservative, parabens free, and does not release formaldehyde. It was originally formulated for the eye and contact lens industry.

“Spit on a new bat before using it for the first time will make it lucky,” said George. His friend Marx looked at him and said, “NONSCENTS.” George took that bat and spit as hard as he could before taking the plate. The first pitch came. He saw the curve and swung. It was a home run. After proving the old wives tales wrong, the only thing George smelled that day was victory.
